I've never known how to ask this so I'll do it now: Rally cars seem to suffer huuuge damage, frequently—cars rolling and hitting trees all the time. What's done with these crippled cars? I've seen so many videos of nasty crashes, the kind that makes you say "there's no way the frame isn't bent." Do they keep replacing the car??
edit: I'm just trying to wrap my head around shit

I like rally but they never pass it on my tv so i almost never watch it, just some videos on youtube.
I think they do repair them.

just some chassis-pulling, subframe replacing, suspension and bodywork replacing, etc? Makes sense. Sounds very labor intensive to keep a car going stage after stage though..

Well it also makes sense not to replace the car to save money, also they may have rules like in F1 for penalties if you change for a new chassis, gearbox, engine....

Well, they repair them after every 1 day has completed.
But, they only had 60 minutes to repair them or you'll get some penalty
*At least in WRC 4 Video game works like that.

Most are rebuilt. Occasionally they're replaced. In the WRC there's a cap on how many chassis a team can use in a season. Go over that and you're penalized.
